Most pain practices have long waits for appointments, and often cannot offer treatment at the first vistit. As such, DO NOT WAIT to make an appointment for care. If you do not get an appointment until after the time I will no longer be managing chronic pain issues, I WILL NOT be able to prescribe opioid pain medications.
Many of these practices treat pain with modalities other than pain medications. It would be to your benefit and keep an open mind regarding treatments being offered. Please recoginize that if opioid pain medications are not offered and it is suggested that you return to your PCP for pain medication prescriptions, I WILL NO LONGER BE PRESCRIBING these medicatons.
